My MissionMy approach is holistic, integrative and evidence-based. I love to learn and I love helping others meet their goals and uncover their authentic selves. I have found that although talk therapy is helpful, it is often not sufficient. I integrate awareness of the body to access and regulate the nervous system, using a blend of internal-family systems and trauma-informed somatic approaches. Read more about the integration of these two approaches here.
Current neurobiological research has confirmed what many have known for centuries: understanding and listening to the wisdom of the body is integral to healing. I hold an ASPPB Certificate of Professional Qualification, am a Nationally registered Health Service Provider, am certified to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), have received certification to provide Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy in clinically approved settings for adults and adolescents through the California Institute of Integral Studies and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (Parts A-D; Part E to be completed when expanded access is granted from the FDA) and have also completed experiential and didactic training in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy through theketaminetrainingcenter.com. I am fully certified in Somatic Experiencing as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and am fully certified as an Internal Family Systems therapist (completion of Levels 1 and 2 training). I have also completed advanced trainings with Dr. Bob Falconer to be able to work with other energies that often present themselves within the internal system. I use this combined knowledge to inform my holistic approach to healing. I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Kentucky and Michigan with almost 20 years of mental health experience. I received my Doctoral degree from Michigan State University and have experience in hospitals, public schools and long-term care facilities providing mental health therapy to youth and adults.
